Lillian Gibbard Clark, formerly of Ponoka, Alberta, passed away in Powell River, BC. She was predeceased by an infant son in 1950 and by her husband Allison (Al) in 1989. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Richard (Ann-Katrin) of Powell River, her daughter Fran (Tim) Kain of White Rock, BC, five grandchildren Erika, Jeff, Ulla, Amy, Sarah and five great-grandchildren. Lillian was born in Edmonton and moved with Al to Ponoka in 1946 when Al became the agent for Northwestern Utilities Gas Company. In 2008 Lillian moved to Powell River to be near family. Lillian was the first president of the Ponoka Kinette Club; she was active in curling, golf, bridge, many community activities and her church. She loved her family and friends. One of her favourite places was the cottage at Ma-Me-O Beach, AB where she spent many days from her teenage years to her senior years. The family would like to thank the amazing care staff at Olive Devaud Residence in Powell River and Dr. Naude for providing such professional, respectful, compassionate and loving care to our mom over the past few years. A celebration of life will be held at Westview Baptist Church at a later date.
